It’s time for what everyone loves about interiors…the reveal! You guys I am so crazy happy to share this project with you because a. it turned out adorable and b. it has a family and a gorgeous little girl fighting for life and a future at the center of it. While I was working on this room I continued to ask myself a question over and over and over; what lengths wouldn’t I go to in order to save my daughters life? What if I woke up everyday, knowing just how incredibly valuable and precious time really is? I am in awe of the Bragg family as they live this everyday. I was blessed to spend months getting to know them and they are on another level of gracious, kind and just all around awesome.
We raised $2,000 to complete Clara’s bedroom and with the help of design vendors like The Land of Nod, Serena and Lily, Chasing Paper, and At Home Furnishings we had everything we needed to create a dream bedroom for Clara. Once Iron City Renovations and Francis Bryant Construction joined the team it was on! Iron City installed the design, while Francis Bryant built and installed Claras custom ADA compliant bed. Through this process I witnessed the power of creatives coming together to give back what they do everyday for something so much bigger than us, it was amazing!
Claras family is still working towards raising the funds for the human trial that will be available later this year. Without this treatment they have no other option than to watch their beautiful little girl slowly lose her battle with GM1. Again, I ask what lengths wouldn’t you go to, to save your childs life? This life saving treatment is not just for Clara, it is for every child suffering from GM1.
We can all do our part by donating or sharing this story with others. I know there is someone out there who will see this and have the means and the heart to make a significant impact. Help us reach them!
